The Zestful Centaur (Inn)
Located on the West side of Aerilon, the Inn is nestled amid lush green gardens. It's a two-story building with a small tavern on the main floor that is run by a very large man named Horris.
Erik Lehnsherr - Bartender (Part Time)
RJ Finn - Chef
The Mockingbird's Perch
It's a brothel, which also sells wine and alcohol to get the customers willing to spend money, with private rooms for each of the employees as well as common areas for meeting clients.
Ashida Noriko - Bartender
In the center of Aerilon is a grand castle where it is rumored the two leaders of Medietas live. Some call them the King and Queen but not much is known about them. They're a mysterious pair who are only seen once a month when the gates to the castle open and permit newcomers to enter. Otherwise, the gates and the castle remain closed for the rest of the time.
The Aerilon Market
The major market on Aerilon is situated on the east side, where you can find just about everything you need. Usually bustling with the noise of busy locals, you can find fresh vegetables, fruit, fish and meat. Vendors sell clothes, handmade trinkets and whatever else they think they people may need. The market runs from sunrise to sunset.
The Rotten Tooth (Candy Store)
It's probably a horrible name for a candy store but The Rotten Tooth is filled with all sorts of goodies for people to enjoy. Just about every type of candy that you can imagine and even some you probably haven't seen or heard about before. Maybe you shouldn't try those ones, though.
A combination gallery and studio offering various works for sale, primarily pencil and charcoal sketches but also the odd painting here and there. While there will be, as time goes on, various landscapes of the region, the primary focus will be living models and portraits, as the name says. Customers can commission any and all forms of portrait work in any medium provided they can supply either a photograph from which to work or sit for the artist. The studio will also offer on-site caricature art for parties and special occasions.
Owner: Steve Rogers
Brianna Randall - Artist
Anne-Marie Louise Devoss
Hardeen's Magic Shop
More or less what it says on the tin. In the beginning, Hardeen's will cater strictly to stage magic in all forms. Stage illusions, close up tricks, cards, coins, silks, flowers--if the hand is quicker than the eye when you've got hold of it, Hardeen's will carry it.
In addition, Hardeen's will also feature books, posters, photography, and artwork featuring stage magic and legends of the trade, from his world and beyond. Gradually, merchandise and artifacts to this effect will creep into his stock, allowing him to service magic practitioners who deal in more than sleight of hand.
Hardeen's will also feature a fully stocked escapology department dealing in restraints of all sorts: handcuffs, rope, and chain cut to custom lengths on request, straitjackets, padlocks, you name it.
Luna Lovegood - Assistant
The Frozen Lick (Ice Cream Shop)
Right beside The Rotten Tooth, The Frozen Lick is a brand new ice cream shop that opened up nearly a month after the new arrivals to Medietas. At any given time, there is up to 44 ice cream flavors available every day. Of course, they like to change out some flavors for new ones every week. Unfortunately, whoever is behind the new flavors has some pretty weird ideas. At some point, there will be a chocolate looking ice cream called 'Dirt'. No, really, it tastes like dirt. There is also variations like salted dirt but please don't try the one they call "Pebbled Path".
Don't worry, though, there are plenty of very delicious flavors for people to enjoy. They also offer sundaes, ice cream cakes and ice cream burrrgers (it's the flavor of ice cream you want with a hamburger bun.)
Skuld - Inventory and maintenance
The Main Clinic
A large one-story building, the clinic is surprisingly modern and efficient. There are two healers/doctors on staff, a small team of assistant/nurses and half a dozen beds for anyone who needs to spend a night for any reason. They can help with any sort of injury or illness that might happen on the island. There is also midwife on call.
Ratchet - Doctor, Coroner/Medical Examiner (Apprentice: Will Solace)
Zoe Hart - Doctor/Surgeon
Cash Gillingwater - Healer
Radical Edward - Tech support (on-call)
Medietas Fire Response Unit
Just as the name implies, small buildings on each of the 5 islands are reserved for this service. Equipment seems to be a little outdated and the mode of transport to any such crisis is limited to 3 ATV type vehicles per station house. Interestingly enough they have no motor, never need fixing and mysteriously don't need fuel to run.
**(Each station can staff up to 3-4 employees each)
Medietas Central Library
The place to go if you are looking for (mostly) any kind of book. It's not massive like some libraries you've seen but they have a pretty good selection to borrow from.
Gem - Librarian
Tyrion Lannister - Archivist
The Troll and the Fish (Pub)
Is a rather large, stately establishment with its wood and burgundy accents and copper fixtures. This pub can be used for any type of function or one can also simply enjoy a few drinks by yourself, or with a few friends. It's where everyone likes to go hang out, drink, eat and be merry most days. Somehow, it's the one place where everybody knows your name and their always glad you came.
The Red Bodice (Seamstress)
Once ran by the best seamstress in all of Medietas, the cute shop is the place you want to go when you want clothes made for you. The workers there like to keep up with the latest fashions and may even try new, daring ones when the idea strikes them. Feel free to check out the shop to see what is for sale or to order something new.
Anne of Cleves - Needlewoman
Thea Queen - Designer
Connected to The Red Bodice, this textile shop is where you can find just about any type of material at whatever quantity you wish, for whatever project you might need it for. You can also meet Shara's son, Janson, who is rather skilled at dying fabrics so you can get whatever color you might desire for a reasonable price.
Janson (NPC) - Dyer
Curl up and Dye
The one and only salon on all the islands! Located across from the seamstress and textile shop, one can go to Curl Up and Dye any time of the week. They even have appointments where they will style your hair and do your makeup for any big events.
The Stale Biscuit Bakery
Do you love the smell of fresh bread in the morning or any other baked goods throughout the day? The most pleasant smells are always coming from The Stale Biscuit Bakery. Just ignore the name, though, okay? The bakers there would never sell anything stale.
Medietas Real Estate

Located in the Aerilon Market, the stall offers resources, mined/cultivated on the various islands using one of Marvelous' forms for further processing (rocks into bricks, ore into metal, etc).
The Gold Leaf (Pub)
Tucked along the edge of this island's business section is a rather quaint establishment that offers friendly service and a quiet place to enjoy a drink. As well, it serves up meals that remind you of home. Actually, it's almost uncanny how delicious the food is. Almost as if someone you know from back home made it.
Karen Page - Bartender
And if you enjoy your meal, make sure you compliment the chef! Otto, the cook, loves the feedback!
The Foul Butcher
Also run by Otto, this butcher shop provides you with just about any kind of meat for any recipe you plan to cook and at affordable prices! Like the Harvelle's RoadHouse(s) before it, the Harvelle's RoadHouse of Mediates will be on it's tin a bar. One that from the outside, and inside, looks rather rough and tumble, caters to a slightly older, slightly more grizzled, slightly sharper, slightly more banged up and bruised, hunters and fighters crowd.
In such an area there is a wide bar with stools, tables with chairs, pool tables, card tables, some games. It caters as much to drinking as it does to a light affair of food and drinks that are not alcohol-based, as there are other kinds of needs for those with planning and prepping sessions up until dawn and beyond.
Harvelle's, also, caters to a rather large assortment of multiverse drinks and will be advertising and opening with both a recipe for Atlantians and Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters.
While the bar itself only takes the main floor of Harvelle's RoadHouse there is an upstairs and a downstairs section that patrons cannot access either of without express permission and instruction from the owner of the house. The whole of Harvelle's has, also, been chosen specifically to meet the spatial needs of everyone traversing all of it.
Thea Queen - Part-time Bartender
Floral and Hardy Garden Center
Halfway between the edge of the business sector and the first farm is a place for all your gardening needs. Owned by Graydon, this place has every seed, plant, flower, and necessary tool to start and keep your own garden. There's even plants you've never seen before..
.. That may or may not grow into things that have some interesting uses.
Luna Lovegood - Part Time Gardener
Lady Cassidy - Gardener
White Willow Village - Funded by Graydon and Conn
Not far out of Mundus' business sector is an expansive compound with the children of Medietas in mind. Not only does it provide the only school for each young person between the ages of 5 and 17 to learn in, it also offers a preschool and daycare for parents with even younger children, who need a trusted place to leave their sons and/or daughters while they head off to work for the day. Headmistress of the school is Ms. Landy.
Inara Serra - Teacher
Alric Caelegart - Teacher (PT); Music/Etiquette/Rhetoric/Political Science
Padmé Amidala - Teacher
Charles Xavier- Teacher (High school)
White Willow Village also secures accommodation for orphaned local children, or those who arrive without parents or guardians to care for them. Mentors and chaperones are on duty around the clock providing daily care, home cooked meals and personal guidance to each of the kids with a determined focus on not letting anyone feel alone.
While each child under the age of 13 live in rooms inside the main house, those over that age (and up to 17) are assigned to a nearby small cabin of their own outside of it. Each includes a standard sized bedroom, a sitting area with a desk provided, and a small bathroom equipped with a shower stall.
Violet Baudelaire - Babysitter (on call)
White Willow is also the designated area that ALL children are brought to when danger arises in Medietas. During those times, caretakers will arrive to bring each young one there where the whole village is reinforced and protected by magic to ensure their safety.
All in all, it's a kids paradise at White Willow with plenty of added fun activities such as horseback riding, field trips, and games. This place is better than any summer camp!
Neighboring White Willow Village is a quarter section of land (approximately 160 acres of land) dedicated to the care and raising of several different types of farm animals including cows, pigs, chickens, but mostly for horses and the boarding of for locals.
Living on site is Arabella and her husband Clay, who is the farm's veterinarian.
Graver's Forge (aka Ore to More) - Blacksmith and Custom Weapons
Near the edge of the business area, there is a good size building that always seems to have smoke billowing from a tall stack. Here you can find some of the best blacksmiths who can make anything you could ever need, including custom weapons.

Clark Kent - Blacksmith
Thorfinn Karlsefni - Apprentice Blacksmith
Florian & Jonquil's - Opening December 1st

The Mean Princess Training Facility
Fixed on the south east corner of Mulciber, one can find a massive compound that gives locals and newcomers a place to train, practice, work-out, or blow of some steam. It has something for everyone with a gym, weight rooms, a running track, a gun range, tennis courts, and even a boxing ring! There's also a sauna and steam room to use at your leisure.
Outside there is a football field, driving range (for all you golf lovers) and an area to practice archery. Just mind the weather outside and those pesky dust storms that sometimes randomly pick up without warning. The facility is funded and managed by Aja.

Medietas Police Station
A quick jaunt from the training center is the local police station. As of late, crimes mostly consist of petty theft, burglaries, and bar brawls. But, one thing that is on the rise is that locals are going missing. Vanishing into thin air, as a matter of fact. At present, there are more than 30 people unaccounted for across the five islands.
Due to the disappearance of the last Chief of Police, there is currently no Chief in charge.

Wayne's World of Music
This is your one-stop music shop, owned and operated by Aja. Here you can find all sorts of music that newcomers will find oddly familiar. Yes, you can definitely pick up today's artists here, but it seems the collection of music is behind the times by about 2 years.
Also, make sure to ask Aja how she came up with the name for her business. She loves sharing it!
Parker and Bennet's Photography.
What it says on the tin mostly. They'd take photos for people around the Islands as well as show them how to use a camera. There is even a dark room if that was their cup of tea. It also offers camera supplies like bags, lenses, macros, and different filters for the lens. They'd also sell photographs for those who wanted to show off their talent. There are even classes for those who want to learn how to shoot photos.
Visuals: here (Except that it would say Parker and Bennet's) and here.
Lead Anchor Aquatic Center
Located about a 15 minute walk south of the Mean Princess Training Facility on Mulciber. It has pools both shallow for the kids and deeper for the older crowds, water slides and fun activities for all. Great to visit on those extra hot days as it is kept at a comfortable climate indoors.
Dice Dice Baby
Medietas's first gaming store! Dice Dice Baby features gear for a small selection of outdoor games (primarily outdoor party games), but has a very specific focus on tabletop gaming. Along with traditional games like chess and poker, it carries RPG sets in the style of Dungeons & Dragons, collectible games of all sorts (mostly card games, but for some reason, the store will also carry things such as POGs), and board games in a variety of exotic flavors. The store also stocks traditional games native to Medietas!
Dice Dice Baby also features a small snack counter, offering pre-packaged snacks and drinks to accent its main attraction: the gaming space. The store has four large rooms decorated in different motifs for any and all styles of live gaming, complete with artwork done by both Rocky Devereaux and other local artists. Rooms are available to rent for private functions and longer gaming sessions, with free gaming every Saturday and monthly tournaments that offer prizes in merchandise, store credit, and small cash purses.

The Seaman's Flagon (Cocktail Bar)
While calling the establishment a 'cocktail bar' makes one imagine a lot of different things, The Seaman's Flagon isn't nearly so fancy as one might assume. On the edge of the beach, the bar is more of a beach bar. Inside there is one large bar manned by two islanders, a small DJ booth, a good sized dance floor and plenty of tables. The building then opens up to a terrace that has plenty more umbrella-shaded tables for people to sit at while enjoying their drinks. The owner, Dara, can be found behind the bar a lot of the time.
Thea Queen - Bartender/Server
Hayley Marshall - Bartender/Security
Mugs Coffee (Coffee shop)
Boasting 72 types of specialty coffee beans, the staff at Mugs can prepare you a hot or cold cup to your liking. Now, java on Medietas is slightly different, and perhaps has a little more punch to it than what the expert coffee drinker may be usually used to. The local baristas will guide you along.
Genim Stilinski - Server
A smaller version of the main clinic on Aerilon, this facility has one doctor/healer on per shift and 2 nurses to help those who need urgent care with minor wounds or illnesses. This can include stitches, splints or just a dose of the islands' version of Pepto Bismal. For any reason the doctor seems necessary, one may be transported to the main clinic.
On The Air Radio
Believe it or not, Medietas has their own radio station. It's mostly music all the time but they have the odd commercial for the different businesses around Medietas. The music is rather eclectic, covering different genres and decades. There is even some rather current music that can be heard during the day. (*mod note: Current music means up to two years ago. In other words, if you're checking on April 16, 2016, the most recent you can find is music from April 16, 2014, and earlier.)
The Splendid Angharad - Daytime DJ/host/pianist
Darcy Lewis - Morning DJ/Host
Johnny Cage - Radio Personality/News
Be Well With the Force

The temple also houses training grounds for Jedi apprentices and a meditation garden. Jedi prospects are encouraged to speak with the Masters.

The Fine Bottle Ale House (Pub)
The Fine Bottle is pretty much a comfortable place to have a few drinks (or more). Local patrons are quiet most evenings, but sometimes you get the occasional loud argument that always ends in a free round. Don't forget to tip your bartender, Fred! He has 8 kids.
Alexis Castle - Part time Waitress/Barmaid
Sweet Lotus Juice Bar
Run by Conn, the juice bar is a rather interesting place. The grand, loft style building boasts large floor to ceiling windows on the east side, offering a rather breath-taking view of the land beyond the town limits. Inside, there are dozen, different colored couches and bean bag chairs for people to relax on while enjoying the different juices that Conn serves. He can often be found behind the bright red bar where he works and mixes up his drinks.
Medietas Opera House
A place for the culturally minded. The Opera House will host a number of events, including symphonies, operas, and ballets. It showcases music from a number of different realms, including Medietas and original works created by their employees.
Chapter Six Bookstore
Mystery, romance, sci-fi, oh my! This is a book lovers paradise with an endless sea of titles to browse through for purchase. Like the music store, however, books are about 2 years behind the times and you won't find a lot on Medietas' history beyond a few different versions of the tale.
Manager is Scotty Beam.
Red Rum Bar
It's a vampire bar! No, really, this is the bar that all vampires will be told about upon their arrival. This is a safe haven for the fanged kind, filled with NPCs who have volunteered to provide a food source for the nocturnal kind. No killing of the volunteers though because that is frowned upon and people will stop volunteering. (Also open to any player characters who want to volunteer to let the vampires feed on them too.)
Pikes and Bolts Scrap Yard
Just as the names states this is a place for all your scrap metal needs. One will find anything they need to repair or replace or even create interesting things of their own invention. There is no price on anything at the yard, but there is a small donation box at the front door.
Erik Lehnsherr (Part Time)
It's a bike and repair shop, offering citizens of Medietas the ability to get around just a little faster than normal. And if something breaks? Just bring it back, and they'll be happy to fix it up for you!

The 'Normal' Theater
The theater looks like it was built in the 80's but renovated sometime in the 90's. Outside there was a large sign reading the word 'NORMAL' in vertical neon lettering. There is a boy in the ticket booth selling ten dollar tickets to tonight's showing which was spelled out in blocky black letters on the sign above him.
Just inside the red doors was a smallish atrium. A dark red carpet stretched over the floor while a two story ceiling rose overhead. Along the left wall was a tacky concession stand. There are brightly colored cartoon snacks painted on the concession wall while images and posters of classic films and TV stars decorated the other three walls. It smelled clean for a theater and a lot like buttered popcorn. The door to the theater was to the right of the front doors and as cool as the theater was, there was only one show room. If you try and go into the backrooms or the projection room you’ll find yourself faced with a series of locked doors.
(The normal theater will be closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays)

Note from Owner mun: There is a finite collection of movies but I'm taking time to pick them out. Mostly because I want to avoid all chances of 4th walling without permission. It will be an old film room so most of the movies will be older.
Just that. There is a good sized amusement park located on Nidus with rides, games and food vendors!

Characters can request employment at any of the locations listed. Just fill out the form of the corresponding request and submit it in a comment below.
If your character wishes to open their business, they can! There are some rules to follow though: (please refer to the recap of question 18 from the FAQ below)
18. So there seems to be a lot of different businesses on Medietas but what if I wanted to open one of my own?
There are two ways that a character can come to own a business on Medietas:
1. As long as it's not one of the businesses with a named NPC listed as owner, then your character can come to eventually own/manage the business. All that we ask is that you comment on the BUSINESSES/JOBS page with your desire to take over the business and the mods will get back to you as quickly as possible.
2. If you want to open an entirely new business, there are two ways to go about this:
1. Your character has to work at an existing business for a minimun of two months to build enough credit that the Bank of Medietas will consider giving you a business loan to get set up. Don't worry, the payments are really quite cheap. They're just leery of giving non-islanders money.
2. There are certain NPC's around Medietas who might consider being an investor if they like the business plan. They want to see Medietas thrive.
If you have a business you would like to create, just fill out the form of the corresponding request and submit it in a comment below.
